What is linkedin creator mode?
Definition: Creator mode is a profile setting that reorders your page to prioritise content: it moves your posts section up, swaps the "Connect" button for "Follow" and lets you highlight the topics you write about.
Swapping "Connect" for "Follow" is the change with the most consequences and the least thought given to it. Connections are capped and reciprocal; followers are uncapped and one-directional.
For someone publishing regularly that is a clear win: the audience grows without hitting the connection limit. For someone using LinkedIn mainly to network or job hunt, it can get in the way, because it makes sending you a connection request harder.
It is not permanent: you can switch it on and off whenever you like, and the followers you accumulated do not disappear when you turn it off.
