What is linkedin carousel?

Definition: A LinkedIn carousel is a multi-page document uploaded as a PDF that readers swipe through inside the feed. It is not a native format: LinkedIn treats it as a document, which is why you build it in any design tool and export to PDF.

Carousels work because they force interaction. Reading one means swiping pages, and that gesture keeps the reader on the post longer than text they can take in at a glance.

Their weakness is the same as their strength: if the first page gives no reason to move to the second, nothing happens. The cover does the job the hook does in a text post, with less room, because it competes with the image itself.

Two practical limits worth knowing before investing the time. Text inside a PDF is not indexable text for search engines, so a carousel will not help anyone find you. And its content is invisible to screen readers unless the PDF is properly tagged, which design tools do not do by default.
